Thanks to a questionnaire completed by each participant before the training begins, the programme is tailored to address the specific needs of participating companies.

The content and practical case studies are adapted to the real sustainability challenges faced by each organisation. Lead Trainer

Micael Noguero - The Trainer 

Micael Noguero is a Senior Consultant specialising in impact-driven business development. He supports organisations in creating economic, social and environmental value while strengthening their competitiveness and resilience.

He is one of the founders of the B Corp Market Builder initiative for the Indian Ocean, which supports a growing community of businesses committed to using business as a force for good.

With more than 15 years of international business development experience, Micael has worked across the biotechnology, manufacturing, food, energy, services and education sectors, among others, in more than 20 countries across Europe, Africa, Asia and the Americas.

As an accredited coach and mentor in Mauritius, he has supported the manufacturing sector for more than five years and has trained and advised over 200 companies and start-ups on their sustainability journeys.

Originally from Spain, he holds a degree in Tourism Management, a postgraduate qualification in Sustainable Tourism from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, and a Master’s degree in Chinese Language and International Business from Zhejiang University.

Fluent in English, French, Spanish and Chinese, Micael is passionate about helping organisations unlock new business opportunities through sustainability, international market development and the creation of purpose-driven enterprises.

Training Modules


Module 1: Introduction to Sustainability and Systems Thinking

Explore the foundations of sustainability and systems thinking within the context of the Mauritian manufacturing sector.

Participants will assess their company’s current position, identify key sustainability opportunities, and understand how economic, social and environmental value can contribute to long-term business resilience.


Module 2: Circular Economy as a Driver of Resilience

Discover how circular economy principles can be applied to create value and strengthen business resilience.

Through practical workshops and benchmarking exercises, participants will explore opportunities related to innovation, operational efficiency, sustainable finance, artificial intelligence and new value-creation models adapted to the Mauritian context.


Module 3: Responding to the Current Context and Creating Value

Learn how to respond collaboratively and with agility to an uncertain and rapidly changing business environment.

Participants will use practical sustainability tools to develop a strategy, prioritise actions, manage environmental, economic, operational and supply-chain risks, and identify quick wins and high-impact opportunities.


Module 4: Overcoming Business Limitations Through a Scientific Approach

Understand how cognitive biases, human behaviour and organisational constraints can affect business decisions and sustainability initiatives.

Participants will apply scientific and practical methods to improve decision-making, engage stakeholders, mobilise teams, implement quick wins and identify relevant pilot projects.


Module 5: Building a Resilient Business Model

Develop a circular and collaborative mindset that strengthens both individual companies and the wider manufacturing network.

Participants will review and improve a collective project, explore scalable solutions, and use relevant indicators to measure impact and integrate sustainability into their long-term business strategy.
