The team driving
Made in Moris forward
More than just a team, Made in Moris is powered by a wave of energy and creativity, united by a bold ambition: to celebrate Mauritian know-how and turn every project into lasting success.
Our HQ? Les Kokottes, in St Pierre, a historic site where former chicken coops have been transformed into vibrant office spaces. Here, every win, big or small, is honoured by ringing a cast iron bell — a ritual that echoes our determination to break new ground.
Led by the CEO Shirin Gunny, our team brings together complementary strengths: creatives, strategists, communications experts, and facilitators. Together, we build bold strategies, spark collaboration, and orchestrate unforgettable events.
With our sights set firmly on the future, we embody a local industry that is modern, inclusive, and responsible. We are rewriting the rules, and shaping the future of Made in Moris and the country it proudly represents.

Shirin Gunny is the driving force behind the Made in Moris label, which she has led since 2013 alongside her role as CEO of the Association of Mauritian Manufacturers (AMM). Deeply passionate about promoting local craftmanship, she has played a key role in the label’s impressive growth. Today, Made in Moris brings together products and services from over eight economic sectors and represents around 150 businesses. Under her leadership, the label has evolved into a true societal project, one that champions economic, social, and environmental values for a more sustainable future in Mauritius.
Shirin places a strong emphasis on civic and environmental responsibility. She has introduced rigorous quality and sustainability standards for member companies, making the label a meaningful mark of trust. Her career has been shaped by a lasting commitment to strengthening the local industrial fabric, with a vision that goes beyond manufacturing to embrace key issues like the circular economy and food security. An artistic explorer at heart, Shirin is also a firm believer in collaborative models as a way to address the major challenges facing Mauritian society.

Thanaa is pure energy when it comes to communication and branding, whether it’s on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, or TikTok. She shapes the label’s communication strategy, ensures consistency across all visual and editorial content, and shines a spotlight on member businesses to boost their visibility. Always on the move, she coordinates field activations, bold campaigns, and info sessions with ease. What drives her? Being part of a movement that is both impactful and cool, where creativity meets efficiency. She finds the rhythm in the rush, the brainstorms, the challenge of doing more with less, and all the laughter along the way.

Samuel is the behind-the-scenes maestro at AMM, keeping a close eye on everything that keeps Made in Moris running smoothly. A committed representative of local manufacturers, he defends their interests with public authorities and helps industry players adopt more responsible practices, all while improving operational efficiency. His goal? A local industry that is ever more innovative and sustainable. From leading the Lindistri Dime programme to shaping the Budget Memorandum, Samuel handles complex projects with clarity and focus. Working closely with Yann Charlotte, he fine-tunes internal tools and streamlines the label’s onboarding process. Multiple files, tight deadlines, constant challenges? He takes them all in stride with no stress, just solutions.

Yannick is the everyday conductor who keeps everything running in perfect harmony. She coordinates admin and accounting with precision, while offering vital support to the entire team. Thanks to her, the work environment stays smooth, structured, and focused while allowing everyone to give their best. What does she love most? The unique spark each team member brings, creating the kind of synergy that truly makes a difference.

At Made in Moris since 2020, Yann oversees the label certification process, manages strategic partnerships, and drives new revenue opportunities through innovative projects. A graduate of Sciences Po Paris, he built his career between international institutions and the start-up world before bringing his expertise to support local development. Driven, curious, and passionate about his island, Yann is committed to strengthening the Mauritian entrepreneurial ecosystem, one project at a time.

Anya is the go-to expert on sustainable transition. She designs training programmes on key topics such as sustainable development, circular economy, and innovation, with new modules on inclusivity and diversity soon to come. She also brings the Made in Moris network to life through engaging events: in-company breakfasts, Expert Meetups, and the New Members Evening, all designed to spark meaningful connections between members. Through the Sustainability Cluster, Anya develops innovative solutions and projects to support businesses in their green transition. She also co-leads initiatives on Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) and industrial symbiosis alongside Samuel, driving greater impact across the ecosystem.

Charlotte joined Made in Moris in 2024 to co-lead the En Route Vers Made in Moris programme and support the development of strategic initiatives like the Made in Moris Pledge. A graduate of Sciences Po Aix in Public Policy, she brings experience in both finance and communications. Curious, committed, and deeply connected to her roots, Charlotte works each day to showcase Mauritian talent and unlock the island’s full potential, far beyond the postcard image.

Marie-Noëlle is the guardian of Made in Moris’ image and reputation. A consultant for AMM since 2015, she plays a central role in the label’s influence strategy and stakeholder relations. With deep expertise in public relations, she turns every opportunity into visibility and engagement for the brand. What drives her? Knowing that her work resonates on a national scale. She loves being part of a team that combines professionalism with good vibes, and keeps the energy high every day.

Shiksha joined Made in Moris in December 2024 to lead communication, marketing, social media, and brand image. She also plays a key role in organising events such as Information Sessions on the label and Activation Terrains. With a background in Management and Marketing, Shiksha has grown within the Mauritian entrepreneurial ecosystem, working across community development and brand support. Passionate about the positive impact of local initiatives, she is committed to shining a light on Mauritian know-how and helping it reach wider audiences.
