For nearly 30 years, the Association of Mauritian Manufacturers (AMM) has been a strong advocate for local industry, representing its interests across both public and private sectors. From the start, the association has called for greater recognition of the manufacturing sector and driven its transformation — with the goal of strengthening our economic independence and reducing reliance on imports. Its mission is clear: to guide the evolution of the Mauritian manufacturing sector toward a more competitive, resilient, and environmentally responsible industry.
In 2012, AMM launched a bold initiative to support this vision — the Made in Moris label, developed in partnership with certification firm SGS. Our label goes beyond indicating the geographic origin of products. Today, it stands as a symbol of quality, authenticity, and the unique expertise of Mauritian manufacturers.
